Sam goes long – with company
Sam has recently ticked two things off his bucket list, an Ironman distance triathlon and a marathon. He completed the course in a fantastic 12 hours 27 minutes and 26 seconds. Training for a long distance race is time consuming and tough on the family, Sam wrote “I would like to thank Azu Hatch for supporting me 100% through training and keeping our family together while I’ve been away.”
Not only did Sam thatk his wife, but he had great praise for his ‘Wingman’ Chris Fulford and others who supported him on his quest. “Thanks to Chris Fulford for being my triathlon buddy and keeping me on track. Thanks to Kevin Chalmers for devising an achievable training program which really worked and the support out on the road at just the right time. Thanks to Carl Ward for keeping me on the road with excellent sports massage. For the support crew at the event Allan Hatch, Kate Yau, Kevin Yau, Kate Fulford, Nicholas Spooner, and Vicki, Michelle Chalmers and all the kids and the girl in the white bikini.”
Sam has raised a massive £3,150 for the Ellenor Hospice. Well done Sam!
