Ely Tri Club Runfest – Sunday 13th October 2024

The Ely Tri Club Runfest is back for 2024!

It offers a choice of distances ranging from 10k to 66k, all of which start and finish at the iconic 11th century cathedral before taking in more of the beautiful historic city of Ely and heading out into the Cambridgeshire countryside.

Most of the course involves quiet, traffic free paths along the banks of the rivers Great Ouse and Cam and their adjacent fens (there’s only one short, gentle climb through Cherry Hill Park in the entire race). Those running the marathon and ultra get the added bonus of a trip through the Wicken Fen nature reserve, home to more than 9,000 species, including Konik ponies, cattle, birds and rare plants.

This is a low key, friendly event which welcomes adult runners of all ages and abilities. With a few obstacles (steps, stiles, cattle grids etc) along the way, the routes are perhaps better tailored for adventure, fun and stamina rather than PBs. But whatever your pace or goal there’ll be plenty of food/drink stations and enthusiastic marshal support throughout.

You can access entry details, locations, logistics and course information by clicking here to visit the Ely Tri Club website. Alternatively, you can go right ahead and book your place at the Let’s Do This website here.

We look forward to seeing you on 13th October!
